pre lang coloring

Is there any way of getting nice <pre lang="..."> tag content layout in GP? i.e. make it behave at least the same way as in any vanilla wordpress theme? The default look of the <pre lang="..."> tag content after installing GP is totally "plain" i.e. single background color instead of nice, alternate line coloring.
The default theme shouldn't have any syntax highlighting.
However, there's quite a few plugins out there if you do a search for "wordpress syntax highlighting plugin".

I think I'll stick with WP-GeSHi-Highlight for now.
