Posts-Feed: Display excerpts

if you have the Blog Module enabled in Appearance > GeneratePress, then you can set the Customizer > Layout > Blog to Excerpt

However, while I have you on the line . . .

I could not figure how to make the headings
of posts in bold. I see that on understand-culture,
and would like the same on discuss-culture.

I did not see any CSS. I suspect that the setting
is in Customizer.

Yep - in Customizer > Typography you should see a H1 Headings setting. If its not listed, then Add Typography, select the H1 Heading and set your styles.

Done. Via Customizer > Typography.
