Posts are duplicating author and published info

I created a Hero template and applied to all posts. However, the author and published info is duplicated, new hero template details above the old.
It appears that the old info isn't being replaced but I can't locate on any of the settings where this default information is coming from to be able to remove.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
