[Support request] posting onto social media

hello,
I’ve run into a problem in the past few months when posting on Social Media.

in the past few months, whenever I post onto facebook, the primary image that populates my post is the text of my website, rather than an image from the post. this is something that changed from before–could you please explain why that happens and how to change it?

The theme itself doesn’t control that.

You can try a plugin like YoastSEO.

but it was working ok up until a few months ago. if it doesn’t have to do w/ the theme, then how would a plug-in help?

YoastSEO allows you to choose an image when a link is shared on social media.
