To clarify, how does response work? Is this something static? Moreover, when the “response” is closed, does this mean commenting is closed?
If the Q&A are post types, you’ll be able to control if commenting would be open or closed. If you deem to disallow commenting, past comments will still appear. Readers just wont be able to comment. Readers wont have control with regards to this(if comments are allowed or disallowed).
More importantly, the “I will set things up so that
my response are always closed, but readers
can open them up, read, and then close.” part seems to need custom coding, or a third party plugin if there is any.
