Until the new GPP version is out, I would like to design a post navigation template like the example attached. Can you please, help?

Are you trying to build that post navigation with GPP 2.0?
If so any chance you can wait a bit on that? I'll try to make a demo video this week :)
No, I am trying to build it with GPP 1.12.3 since I want to make the site live in a week and GPP is still in alpha. I can easily build it with GPP 2.0.

Sorry I'm not able to provide a full custom solution at this point as GPP 2.0. will make this very easy.
