    I have now decided to switch to Generatepress – finally 😉

    I’m currently working in my stagging environment and doing quite well. Since I have some special stuff in my website, I wanted to ask if the following is a viable way:

    I’m using a few Custom Fields with Toolset to create a sort of post meta template with GP for my crafting tutorial articles. I have implemented everything I need with Generateblocks Pro so far and it works fine.

    My Post Meta Template uses 1 dynamic-image and 3 Toolset Custom Fields (Text, 2 x Text in a List) in a Container with 2 separete rows, using the Dynamic-Field feature of Generateblocks Pro. I will also use 2 more shortcodes. After the Post Meta Template follows the normal Body.

    As an illustration here is a screenshot:

    Everything works great so far but I wonder if this Custom Field method with Generateblooks Pro is future proof so that I can use this Post Meta Template for many tutorials of this kind (about 200 so far)?

    So it would be nice if you could confirm that this way does not cause any problems.

    Best regards & Thanks a lot

    Hi there,

    for sure;
    GP is using the core WP Functions for getting the post meta data. And there is no way WP would change those functions behaviour in the future ( without breaking untold sites ) makes the GP method rock solid future proof.

    Great to see Block Elements being used in this way 🙂

    Thank you David for looking into this.

    I was thinking the same thing, but wanted to check before I get to work rearranging everything.

    Thanks & best regards

    Btw: GP and GB rocks 😉
