[Support request] Post formats

Hi,
How does the “Video Post”, “Format” work within post pages? Is there a shortcode for a youtube video that will use the video instead of a featured image like I have seen on other themes?

Not currently, but that is on the road map.

I’m interested to see if post formats will still exist once Gutenberg is shipped with WP.

As things stand, does that mean post formats are not implemented? I know they are selectable but I see no difference in any of the output.

Currently, post formats like Video display the full content, which allows HTML to display on the archives page (so videos can display etc..).

Hi Tom, regarding to this topic –I don’t know if you’re aware about this, here it goes:

When I use the search form to find a post that’s using “video format”, the video it’s no showing up at all.

¿Did you know this? ¿Is there a way to solve it?
