post excerpt

Hello Tom,
I'm using WCFM plugin together with woocommerce and woocommerce product vendors plugin. WCFM is a frontend manager for vendors that allows vendors to publish products as well as articles (posts).
Problem is, posts published from WCFM will not generate excerpt in the posts archive page whereas those posts I posted as admin from backend work fine.
This is something WCFM developer asked me:
Possibly your theme has some function which automatically generates excerpt from article actual description at the time of creating the article.
Do you have any idea of this?
Could you help please?

Hi Leon,
We don't have anything like that.
Are the posts added from the front end set as a regular post format? If a different post format is set, GP will display the full content.

Thank you for the reply. Yes they are of regular post format. I guess this would have more to say with the plugin and not my theme, because I've used other front end post plugin before, and that works just well.
