Post Category Widgets Missing

Hello,

I just installed GeneratePress and love it for its speed and options. One big thing that's missing is more Widgets for Posts. I only see RECENT POSTS. We really need several widgets where POSTs can be pulled for specific CATEGORY with more types for different display options.

Also, being able to add Posts to Home or Main page rather than just side bars and top/bottom menus would be so helpful.
Please add these features to make your theme the best!
Best Regards

Hi there,

Great to hear you're enjoying the Theme and GP Premium :)

i would recommend Tom's other plugin WP Show Posts:

https://wpshowposts.com

It does all of that.

I'm using GeneratePress and installed the WP Show Posts. I setup a simple post using a category and the text is overlaying itself - it looks like a goulash.

Don't think I'm seeing a WPSP widget on the linked page?

Let me know if I'm missing something :)

I'm perplexed by something: the "Categories" widget is missing on one of my sites. It's the one that does the dropdown like at the bottom of the sidebar at https://randysrandom.com/how-freedom-works/

I see the widget's availability on all my other GP sites, but not at https://stellaawards.com

All the same GP Premium modules are activated at the two sites, though I can't see why that might matter.

Hit me with a clue-by-four? How do I get it back?

That’s a Wordpress core widget so unrelated to the theme.

I’d recommend disabling plugins to see if there are any conflicts.

Thanks, Leo. Still tracking it down, and glad to know it's not GP!

No problem :)
