Post Archive Thumbnail Proportions

Hi there,

Any chance you can disable all plugins except GP Premium to eliminate conflicts from other plugins first?

Just tried this using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. In Troubleshooting mode every plugin is disabled, I then activate GP Premium and the issue is still there.

I'm definitely seeing some code interferring.

Can you disable all plugins and let me have a look?

Can't really do that on the live site so I've cloned it to a temporary URL and disabled all plugins except GP Premium, I've edited the original post with the new URL.

As of GPP 1.10.0, we no longer actually resize images. Check the post here: https://generatepress.com/gp-premium-1-10-0/

The solution is to build your own image size (https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-image-sizes/) and set it in the Customizer (https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adjusting-the-featured-images/).

Ah that makes sense now, I remember seeing something about that update but hadn't realised how it might affect my site. I've entered a new image size in my functions file but unfortunately I'm having trouble regenerating the thumbnail for that problem post. Using the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin mentioned in the your link I go to my media library and locate the images I'm using in the featured image, click Regenerate Thumbnail but I get the error the:

ERROR: The fullsize image file cannot be found in your uploads directory at 2020/05/filename.jpg. Without it, new thumbnail images can't be generated.

The original image is definitely there as it's showing in the post as the featured image. I'll try re-adding the image to the library and see if that works.

It seems my cloned site had some write permission issues, tried it on the live site and it worked perfectly.
