So due to my work I create a lot of new websites, and because of this I wanted to speed up the process of making a website.
I was wondering is it possible to create like a custom theme using GeneratePress and also GenerateBlocks. Where everything is already setup. In terms of font sizes, styles, pages setup, and elements blocks, etc.
probably, most likely – but you probably don’t want to 🙂
You shouldn’t really save ‘content’ within the theme. Its going cause all kinds of pain.
Instead, build your starter site, and then use a plugin like Duplicator to export and import it for each build.
Or you may find your host provides a similar service by way of saving a kind of starter site.
Ok, that’s fair enough. I have my own server at Cloud Ways. What about setting up a site without a real URL, and just using that as like my template. Then I can duplicate it over to new site’s I start.
Yeah, thats a possible solution 🙂 I manage some sites who were hosted on Flywheel, and their Local Application allows you to save the site as a Blueprint, and you literally build a new site from that blueprint. Maybe Cloudways has a similar solution
