[Support request] Possible conflict with Elementor Header Template?

Hey, not looking for support specific to Elementor, I just have a hunch that my GeneratePress (Premium) theme may be doing something with the header that is conflicting with the custom header I subsequently built and set to site-wide with Elementor Pro. The issue I am having is that the header font is set to Open Sans and appears that way in the Elementor builder, but is switched to another font when actually viewed across the site. Additionally, the sub-menu indicator is a glitched out character, and again looks normal in the elementor builder. Seems like a conflict.

So my GeneratePress specific question is whether the above makes sense and if so if I can disable GeneratePress header functionality?
