Portfolio Excerpt Length

Hi,
I created a 2 column portfolio using WP Show Posts and I entered the excerpt word length should be 15 words, but it doesn't seem to be respecting that parameter. Is something overriding it?

Hi there,
that will only work on an auto excerpt.
When using manual excerpts you get 100% of what was entered in the excerpt field.
Ah, understood. I'll adjust the excerpt manually.
