I receive a notification to update my generate press themes, please I just want to ask, if I choose to update the theme will it have any effect on my WordPress general site?

there should be no issues updating the Theme - but first thing to know is what is the current version of your Theme?
am using the GP premium version.
I checked your license date - which means you have a fairly recent version of the plugin.
You can safely update without any affect to your site.
