Plugin installation failed :(

Hi, I'm building a new site, and also for this, I would like to use your theme. however, I downloaded the new generatepress.2.3.2.zip plugin and the installation does not happen, worpress tells me that the package cannot be installed! What happen?

Hi there,

That's the theme file, which you can install like this: https://generatepress.com/install-generatepress/

To install GP Premium, you need to download the plugin file: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/installing-gp-premium/

I did as you say, I did this other times and everything went well, but now, when I try to install the plugin, the installation doesn't happen, because wordpress says it's not a valid plugin.

Here is Tom, this is the wordpress message:

The package cannot be installed. No valid plugins were found.

generatepress.2.3.2.zip is the free theme, not GP Premium (the plugin).

GP Premium can be downloaded in your account, and will be named gp-premium-1.8.3.zip

Thanks Tom! You're right, I downloaded the wrong zip :P Now everything is ok, sorry for the noise ..

Hi Tom. I see this confusion a lot. Maybe you can make this message prominent in your front page that the free version is a theme and the premium version is a plugin?
