i added an Ad code in my header php, and deleted it later. the Ad location still appears and doesn't display Ads. I have deleted the code. how else can I do to remove the code.
another thing, why does the space showing text, instead of Ads?

Did you modify the theme's header.php file? It's never a good idea to do that.
Please make sure to replace your current header.php file with a fresh copy here:
https://github.com/tomusborne/generatepress/blob/master/header.php
As for the ad still displaying issue, it sounds like a caching issue to me.
