I have the content template set up the way I want for my archive pages (screenshot attached)

I’d like to use that same format for the home page – but to ‘pin’ posts in place, rather than have it displaying the most recent posts. So they are always on the home page, in a specific order, but still have the title/image/excerpt pulled dynamically.

Is this possible, and how would I go about it?

I can add a ‘featured’ or ‘home’ tag to them if that helps, then only pull posts that have that tag, if that is an option, I don’t see that though.

I’m using GP Premium and GB,

    Chris

    Hi there,

so the Front Page, is this to be a static page ?

No, well, maybe, I had planned on having three pinned posts, then the next section with most recent. I was setting things up in elements with the content template to replace the front page content, but would a static page be a better way of doing this?

A static page with query loop block seems an easier and cleaner option to me 🙂

    Or

you can use ablock element - hookto insert a query loop block into the default blog page, but custom function is required to offset or exclude the posts showing the query loop block from the main query, so there’re no repeated posts.

    Got it, thank you Ying,
