Hello,
I've been having database connection issues with my site since yesterday. https://marjorieduncan.com
My hosting had to do a full Cpanel restore lastnight.
Now same thing is happening again, they are saying your is not compatible with the higher version of php
Help please

It says 7.3 when they tried to update it said not compatible.
GP is definitely compatible with PHP 7.3 - that's what the majority of our users are using.
Are they sure it's not a plugin issue? What if you disable all plugins, custom functions and child theme (if using one) and update?
What they did was try to upgrade the php from 7.3 but said it was not compatible.
I can't get into my dashboard to try anything at all, not even to disable
GP itself is compatible with up to PHP 8 so there shouldn't be an issue there:

But as Tom mentioned in the post, you will need to make sure WordPress is updated as well.

Do I have to download the GP plugin and reinstall it whenever you guys make an update or does it automatically updare in my dashboard?
The last time I downloaded the plugin was in June, is that the current version? Could that be the reason for the problem?

I'm not sure what version you are using but you can compare it with the current version shown here:

Using the old version is unlikely the cause either.
Have you checked the other things I've mentioned yet?

No I haven't as I currently have no access to my dashboard I can't get it and I'm not techy to figure out.

Looks like you are using 2.0.3 so that the latest stable version.
Maybe just ask your host to update PHP to 7.4 and not PHP 8.
GP is compatible with PHP 8 but perhaps some of the plugins you are using are not.
