photos on my theme

Hello,
I have the Split theme and on the demo I can see that there is a photo under the blog title. It seems that I can't add a photo on my blog. I also can't see the excerpt from the blog. Everything is checked in the blog's layout, I am not sure why this happens.

In order to show the image in blog page, use feature image instead of inserting a picture in the content. Here's an article about how to add feature image.

For the excerpt issue, I'm not seeing anything too obvious here.
Any chance you can disable all plugins except GP Premium to test?

I had the excerpt of the blog postings up to today as I customized it to 55 words, then you could click the button to read the entire posting. Something happened today and it does not show. I can't disable all plugins. It's too risky.
It's fixed. I had to update one plugin and the excerpt is back on.
Glad to hear that it's not a GP issue.
Can you tell me which plugin was causing the issue?
The social warfare had a new version so I had to update it.
