Permalink with Parent Category in URL

Hi,
I'm using a parent category and many sub-categories within. It seems the parent category URL is being redirected to a URL without the parent category.
Example:
https://skool.house/studio-assets/vector-arrows
redirected to
https://skool.house/studio/vector-arrows
In this case, "studio" is the custom post type (created with CPT). Is there a reason the category is being stripped and redirected?
Its working this way - https://skool.house/category/studio-assets

The permalink side of things is completely handled by WP core so the theme doesn't have any control:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/settings-permalinks-screen/
I would recommend checking with WP's support team if you are still having some issues.
