Parent menu item is not clickable

When I use Customize>Menu>Nav dropdown>Click-Menu Item - it makes the Parent menu link unavailable. But my client likes that it shows the whole submenu and they don't like the Hover choice, which makes the parent menu item clickable. Do you have one of our magic css solutions (or something) in your bag of tricks for this? Thanks, Jana

I can't find what I need on this page - the problem I'm having is not creating a nonsinkable parent page but that my parent page is not linking when I have any submenu items below it. The link only works when I have Hover selected in the Nav Dropdown in Customize - and my client doesn't like that effect.

Yes, I do want the parent item to go to its page (about). I get it now - you can only use click-arrow and not click menu item, right? That's the only way to make the parent item clickable with a submenu. Is there any workaround to create both? (not to be a pain)
