Page title shows twice on published page

Hopefully I am describing this correctly. It used to be that on the right side of the page on edit, you could chose not to have the page title in the published page, since that would duplicate the titles....as shown here on a test page I did.

I have the page title as well as the H1 title showing, but no way to eliminate it. Not sure if this is a change in Wordpress or Generate Press.

Hi there,

The disable element metabox is now combined in the layout metabox:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-metabox-overview/

The first title on the test page is automatically generated from GP and the second one is inserted in the content. Not sure why you needed to do that instead of just using the original one?

Not sure I understand....does it automatically generate the title using the h1 font size and type that I have selected?

Thanks, Leo. Now I have another problem. When I go to "customize", it takes me directly to "widgets". Can't get the whole customize options. I have cleared my cache, don't know what to do...is it something I did or not?

Well, problem solved. Activated 2017 theme, then deactivated and went back to GP and all is well. Still not sure what happened.

Awesome :)

Yeah....don't know how it got that way, but anyway it is back to normal.
