Whats the difference between the favorite and subcribe tabs on top, which one must you choose if you want to see that topic for help again?

Favorite will add this thread to your favorites in your user profile,
Subscribe will add you to the subscriber list, so you will receive emails whenever someone updates the topic.
Both of these lists are visible by clicking your user ID / image, Tom will be adding a button to take you there soon, for the time being just bookmark that URL

I have "disable elements" activated but in customization in the front end, in the layout metabox I do not see the "disable elements" tab option?

Metabox is a per page basis setting so you can find them in the Edit page/post screen.
