Hello,
We intend to offer to create hotsites to our advertisers. There are some themes that are specific to this, like optimizepress.com and others. Usually they provide elements so that we can make a landing page with certain elements of greater visual impact like these here https://bit.ly/2UvdgQO and https://bit.ly/3aBEVoS.
How can we achieve a similar effect without having to install any new plugins or create a subdomain or folder with a new theme installed. Is it possible to create a page template for this purpose? What is the best way to do that? Do you already have a custom page template created for this purpose?
Thanks
April 1, 2020 at 7:27 am #1222086DavidStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
to do it without adding any plugins then creating a Template for them would probably be the way to go. This is a good article on how to get started with that:

April 2, 2020 at 1:39 pm #1224101HiltonHi David,
Is there a way to generate a template based on these ones?
https://generatepress.com/site-library/April 3, 2020 at 6:17 am #1224787DavidStaffCustomer SupportSites are not templates – they’re the equivalent of you creating a site, then using a Duplicate or Export plugin to transfer that site to a new domain.
A real simple method would be to build out a page, whether in Gutenberg or a Page builder and then use a Duplicate Post plugin to make new copies each time you need a new landing page.
April 3, 2020 at 8:50 am #1225190HiltonHi David, I don’t think I expressed myself well. My question is whether by chance it would be possible to take the page.php from any of these website templates and generate a page template for my website.
April 3, 2020 at 5:08 pm #1225693TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperThe sites in the library don’t actually use template files at all (except for the core ones). They’re a combination of Customizer options and content.
Are you wanting to create child themes that you can activate to change the design of your site?
April 4, 2020 at 8:05 am #1226375HiltonHi Tom,
I actually want to be able to offer our advertisers customized hotsites. It would be a page with certain elements of greater visual impact like these here https://bit.ly/2UvdgQO and https://bit.ly/3aBEVoS.
We have already achieved this by creating a subdomain and using the Levelup theme https://bit.ly/2JJM9el but we would like to do something similar using a page template that works within our own domain without having to use a new theme in a subdomain.
Thanks
April 4, 2020 at 4:28 pm #1226814TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperSo you would have a bunch of different designs/pages all within the same WP site?
April 4, 2020 at 6:33 pm #1226865HiltonHi Tom,
I don’t really need a bunch of different designs. I just need one template to be used in all created hotsites.
April 5, 2020 at 7:17 am #1227260DavidStaffCustomer SupportYou’re going to need some plugins for making the content creation part easier.
For sliders and content of that kind you’ll need a dedicated plugin like SmartSlider. For the layout you can use the Gutenberg Block editor. We have just developed GenerateBlocks – its currently in beta – but should be live soon – you can download for play here:
https://generateblocks.com/install/
Then its simply a case of building out a Page, save that and then use a Duplicate Post plugin to create copies for each new landing page.
