I have created a Header Element for my home page, set to merge with page content. The background merges nicely with the navigation menu and the parallax effect works well, but I had hoped to have the page content show over the background image as well. Is this possible?

Thanks!
Dan

Hi Daniel,

This is possible, but a different approach would be needed to achieve this.

One approach you may try is by setting a background image through Appearance > Cutomize > Background Images > Body, and make the background color of the specific sections of you preference transparent.

Take note that “Backgrounds” module should be activated in Appearance > GeneratePress to do this. Moreover, the Parallax effect wouldn’t be easily applicable in this approach, and you would need custom code to make it work. See this for reference with regards to this: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/parallax-on-body-background-image/

Hope this helps! :)
