    Hi Leo

As touched on previously, forum thread – How does Page Header handle Featured Images?

With regards to the Inner Container setting in the screen shot, as best practise would you set that to Full width or Contained?

I ask because if I set the Inner Container to Full Width, which seems logical, the image heightens downwards and becomes taller. If I set the Inner Container to Contained the image stays the true height, I think?

Whats going on here, why does the image expand, seems odd?

    Thanks
    Steve

What is your (outer) container setting?

Can you maybe start a new topic and link me to the page? Thanks!

The page is not published, however, my Outer Container setting is Full Width.

    Outer – Full Width
    Inner – Contained

image displays full width and correct height.

    Outer – Full Width
    Inner – Full Width

image heightens downwards and becomes taller, even though the padding settings are the same.

If you need to see the pages please let me know and I will email support@ with links.

    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

That depends on what look you are trying to accomplish.

Just tested and can’t duplicate your situation.

Can you send the pages through Account Issue? https://generatepress.com/contact/

    Thanks!

Ahh that’s because percentage is used for the top/bottom padding.

Try using px (absolute value) then you will see the same thing when using contained or full width for inner container.

There isn’t any best practice in things like this. It’s more about getting to look the way you want it.

Oh my, what a blonker, LOL.

I could swear I never changed that setting to percentage, but obviously did, as px is the default.

Thanks for your help and patience 🙂
