I have Page Headers turned on. This is the third site I’m building using GP. Only issue is I cannot get any images to show up on any page either via the Featured Image or Page Headers. Weirdly, if I choose another image for a second page header and assign that tothe blog, that works fine and dandy.
I looked at the source code for a site that is running GP with page headers that is working properly. It has a division for the page header. The problematic site does not. It’s just not there. I’ve disabled plugins and deleted all other themes.
Any thoughts? I’d be willing to pay for some assistance.

December 2, 2017 at 1:52 pm #440253LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Is add background image turned on? https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-header-content/#add-background-image
Can you link me to the page in question? I browse around and wasn’t able to find a page with page header.
Let me know π
December 3, 2017 at 3:05 am #440422JoniBackground is enabled. It matters not where I put the primary na menu either. BUT the weird thing is the header works on the BLOG page ONLY.
My other two GP based sites work just fine, as expected. This one, on the same server/hosting environment, does not honor any kind of image of any kind whatsoever on a PAGE. I am at a loss.
Look at the News link. That is the blog. The header appears there just fine. And I have not only the header set in Page Headers, but as a dropdown in the page editing screen, and as a featured image, every which way from Sunday, and still no go.
https://ahcivicclub.org — click on any page; no header.
https://ahcivicclub.org/news/ (blog) — header shows up. It also shows up on search results and categories — all blog-related pages.Screenshots here:

Either through the on page metabox or the global locations? https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-header-global-locations/
I’m not seeing the code at all.
December 3, 2017 at 11:13 am #440713JoniDid you not see the link to the screenshots above? I explained that the page header is enabled on each page in the dropdown metabox AND a featured image is akso set. AND a page image is assigned under Page headers.
As well, as mentioned MANY TIMES BEFORE, it seems to work properly on the BLOG page only.
Maybe I should submit a bug report??
December 3, 2017 at 11:16 am #440717JoniI have read the documentation and I understand what I am supposed to do. Merely posting links to the documentation is not helping. Please understand, I have been doing this kind of web development for over 15 years. I’m not stupid. This is my third site using generate press. The first two sites on the same server I might add, are behaving perfectly. This one is not. This behavior is abnormal in that not only do the page headers not work on pages, but they do work on the blog page only so something is askew. As I said before, perhaps I should submit a bug report.
If I sound frustrated, it is because I am.
December 3, 2017 at 11:18 am #440720JoniAlso as mentioned before, I have disabled all other plug-ins, cleared the cache, rebooted my computer, updated windows 10, and make sure I have the latest version of the free theme and the premium generate press plug-in. I don’t know what else I can do. As I also mentioned before, I am willing to pay for some help getting this solved. However I’m beginning to think it might be some kind of bug.
December 3, 2017 at 1:05 pm #440787JoniI decided to give up on generate press for this project and installed the 2011 theme. I created featured images for each page. Then I decided to load only the default free GP theme. All the headers worked. BUT once I installed the GP Premium plugin we are back to square one with the page header working ONLY on the blog pages. Ugh.
Any GP developers here? This sounds like a bug to me.
December 3, 2017 at 5:04 pm #440856LeoStaffCustomer SupportI’m just trying to help π We haven’t had this problem reported before which is why I want to double check some things first.
Are you able to provide the admin details to us?
You can send it through Account Issue here: https://generatepress.com/contact/
Just reference the topic.
Thanks!
December 3, 2017 at 5:08 pm #440861JoniI also switched from PHP 5.6 to PHP 7 and installed a PHPInfo file to aid in troubleshooting. That is here:

You have featured images turned off in Customize > Layout > Blog under the “Pages” tab in the Featured Images section: https://www.screencast.com/t/Wt8IOmOVQa3t
If you turn them on, they’ll display.
December 4, 2017 at 7:27 pm #441777JoniOh good lord above. The one place I did NOT think to look. Thanks. I’ll mark this solved now.
