Hello everyone, I’m trying to fit an image into the header section as background image. My issue is, that half of my image is covered by the horizontal menu. I’d like the image to be scaled so it always fits. But my image appears cropped.
I was able to achieve this with a page header, but the header appears below the menu.
Your help is appreciated. Thank you very much. Kind Regards Alexander

    Hi there,

Try adding that image as the header/logo: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-header-logo/

    Hi Leo,
Thank you for your quick answer. I tried adding the image as logo. In that case the image is resized to a third and I can’t stretch it full width (1200px).
However I managed to stretch it full width by increasing the font size for Header section text (though not using text but the hidden character   ). Now the banner appears entirely.

    QUESTION
Is there a way to avoid the increasing white space above and below the banner when viewing in smaller browser windows respectively mobile view?

    Kind Regards
    Alexander

I would just remove the header padding: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-padding/

Then you might have to readjust the image again but that should make everything better.
