overwriting existing site

Hi - I have an existing site at http://www.brambles-estates.com that I want to redevelop. Wondering what would happen if I choose a generate press theme to overwrite the existing theme? My main question is would I lose content?
Hi there,
no, changing theme doesn't affect the site content. ie, stuff you added in the post editor, media library etc.
You may need to update logos.
Things to note:
If you're existing Theme added any Custom Post Types or other custom content types then those will be 'lost'. But will return if you switch back to that theme.
If you added any CSS to the Customizer > Additional CSS then you should make a copy of this and add it back into the theme after switching.
If its a concern then we suggest you create a Staging site of your current site ( your host should be able to help with that ). Then you can switch themes without affecting the live site. Make any changes and updates you need and when you're happy you can Push the Staging site to the Live site.
