I am using the generate press themes, but I’m having trouble figuring out how I can make very large ‘portfolio-type’ screenshot images load quickly.

For example, on this website: https://alchemyandaim.com/portfolio/bethany-webster/
The images displayed in this portfolio are almost all over 1 mb in size, and yet they load instantly.

How come when I try to do this on my website they take forever to load?

    Thank you

    Hi Lina,

For reference, can you provide the link to your site?

You may use the Private Information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information

Sure. Also, can you think of a reason that this page would not collapse the images on mobile?
If I have a grid with three columns, should the columns not collapse down and be displayed one by one on mobile?

The images displayed in this portfolio are almost all over 1 mb in size, and yet they load instantly.

Loading large content fast heavily depends on the server speed. The theme doesn’t have much to do with this issue.
Even based on user experience, the site loads pretty fast, but Google still gives out the Properly size images warning:

Also, can you think of a reason that this page would not collapse the images on mobile?

Can you switch to the mobile preview mode, and select the containers nested in the Grid block, what’s the width set for them?

    Let me know!
