optional hero image for mobile

Hi! On my front page I have a large "landscape" hero image (background image). For mobile it would be great to have a smaller version that is cropped for "portrait" dimensions. How can I replace my cropped vertical image for mobile view?

Can you try to recreate it with a header element?

The issue here is that the Gutenberg cover blocks use inline style to insert the background image so it's difficult to overwrite it for mobile.
