Optimizing site for the new Google Page Experience
1 reply · Started by Thei on April 3, 2021
Hello,
I have to fix my blog site for the upcoming Google Page Experiences requirements.
I did the speed test and the site is ridiculously slow and many things have to fixed.
I can't do it on my own so what is the best site to post for a freelance job?
I am on limited budget so it has to be a bidding site. Guru.com? Upwork.com? A WordPress expert will fix these in a couple of hours.
I also need to optimize photos. Is there a good plugin for that?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Thei
Hi there,
if you're budget is limited then a site like upwork would be the right option - not necessarily the best option as low cost may not achieve a quality result.
I did a quick check on your site, and a few issues i see are related to the server/wordpress install:.
1, There is a long initial server response time.
2. The server response version is not HTTP 2.0
3. There are several backend scripts that are being loaded on the front end - which they should not.
All of those issues you should address with your host.
I would suggest you look at using a plugin like autoptimize to improve performance - here are our settings:

Image Optimization plugins are generally a premium option such as ShortPixel.
Desktop apps - i use a Mac and ImageOptim is great for image compression - they provide some PC alternatives here:
