Hi Tom/Leo!
I am creating a website with GPP and Elementor Pro, (around 50% is done so don’t check the design :)) and I would need a solution for scroll ID.
Let me write an example.
The site is:
http://szabadkaianna.hu/And if I click on “Munkáim” for example, the URL will be the same.
http://szabadkaianna.hu/I would need it to be changed after clicking. Something like:
http://szabadkaianna.hu/#MunkaimIs there a way to do it?
Page scroll to ID plugin doesn’t do what I need. (or I am doing something wrong, currently I am using the simple Elementor Menu Anchor widget).Of course if I write manually that:
http://szabadkaianna.hu/#Munkaim
Then the link works. But I need it to be changed automatically after clicking on it.Also if I would have the changed link:
http://szabadkaianna.hu/#MunkaimThe “Munkaim” would be staying underlined, showing which section I am currently on.
And… my nav menu is just crazy. If you click on for example “Munkaim” and try to scroll up, it doesn’t immadietely start to scroll up. It starts with a “buzz” effekt first. If you can’t see, I’ll record a video. It should be some kind of bug.
Would really appreciate any suggestions 🙂
Thank you in advance!

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
What if you insert the full link (http://szabadkaianna.hu/#Munkaim) in the custom menu link?
As for the scrolling issue, looks like something else is causing the conflict. Can you try #1 here?

Hi Leo,
“What if you insert the full link (http://szabadkaianna.hu/#Munkaim) in the custom menu link?”
I’ve already tried this but the URL doesn’t change after clicking on “Munkáim”. It stays: http://szabadkaianna.hu/And the Page scroll to ID plugin caused the issue. Thanks!
Maybe if I would use Page scroll to ID plugin instead of Elementor Menu Anchor widget, there wouldn’t be this issue. But Elementor Menu Anchor widget works well for me, I would need only the URL changing after clicking, and then also for example the “Munkaim” would be staying underlined, showing which section I am currently on.
I was checking tutorials but haven’t found this URL changing after clicking yet.
If you have any other advise, please let me know.
Thank you!

StaffCustomer SupportYou might have to ask Elementor for help on this.
I just used the normal method to set up anchor: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/one-pager/#post-155986
and URL changes for me: http://www.screencast.com/t/V7M8emlA15

Hi Leo,
Menu screenshot:
https://imgur.com/a/gtSHOAnchor screenshot:
https://imgur.com/a/LSNX2If you click on “Munkáim”, you will not find a new URL.
You linked this:
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/one-pager/#post-155986And Tom says:
First, add your anchors throughout your content where you’ll be linking to, like:

This is not so clear to me. Where to put this? Sorry, I am a beginner 🙂
Thanks in advance!

StaffCustomer SupportHave you contacted Elementor? I believe this is a problem of their menu anchor widget.
Using non-Elementor way you can simply copy and paste the code anywhere in the content but I’m not sure if it would work if you are using Elementor.
Best to check with them.
