Off Canvas vs Standard Responsive Menu

I'm trying to limit the amount of 'extras' being loaded from the standard GP theme.
I was wondering if the Off Canvas menu option adds any additional requests or javascript, compared to just sticking with the standard responsive menu.
Will there be any noticeable differences in speed/performance from using the standard menu vs slide-out/overlay options?

Hi there,
the off canvas panel requires 2 more requests for its CSS and JS. Both are minimal in size and probably won't make any real noticeable difference. Try testing the site speed with and without.
