Off Canvas Panel Menu Mobile Tap Question

Hello,

I noticed that the off canvas panel menu items with a sub-menu will only expand if you tap specifically on the expand arrow. I found this to be a bit unnatural and would often try to tap the entire word expecting it to open, only to have the page start over back at the top with the menu closed.

Is there a way to make tapping the entire word trigger the sub-menu to expand?
