Is there a way to make the GeneratePress Off Canvas Menu (mobile) look like this?

maybe like this: the ul class “sub-menu” is displayed horizontally over the whole main-nav block with the possibility of a backlink

or is there a plugin, apart from slickmenue, which you can recommend?

That will require a lot of customizations, I think it probably will be easier to just use a plugin.
