Off Canvas

I can see the off canvas menu even it is disabled in my settings. A few days ago I assigned a widget to the corresponding off canvas area (widget screen). I deactivated this widget, but somehow there is something there.

Also interesting is there is an magnifying glass as an icon for search. I don't know where to look at to identify any context
