Number of Google fonts files

Hi,
I'm building a site with only 1 font (kanit).
But I'm serving 5 files from google fonts:
https://tools.pingdom.com/#5d8046edc5c00000
I really don't know if it's normal or not.
Do you know anything about this?

It's pretty normal.
That's from this: fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Kanit:100,100italic,200,200italic,300,300italic,regular,italic,500,500italic,600,600italic,700,700italic,800,800italic,900,900italic
It's requesting 1 .woff file for each font style/weight in use. The specific page most likely uses 5 from the list so it requests for 5 .woff files from the Kanit font family.
