    Hello

I am trying to improve site speed metrics ahead of the next google update

Currently looking at the low hanging fruit.

Page speed report has flagged the images of the WPSHOWPost archive tiles, in the side bar, on post pages.

It appear that they are being served up at full 1200 px – not sure how to ago about fixing this.

My CSS is limited, learning everyday, but I would like to understand; why this is happening, Is this something I’ve done, How to fix (prevent myself making a similar mistake in the future)

    Thanks

    Sam

Ok – I hadn’t set any image sizes when configuring the wpshowpost tile. Now set 255 x 167 and I am not longer getting the warnings

However, I am now getting the following

Image elements do not have explicit width and height – which I don’t understand as this is what I did in order to solve the incorrect size from being served?!

Is this a GP resolvable issue or something I need to log with the WPshowpost team – appreciate there is a slight cross over with products.

(ps apologies if I am using the wrong terminology, served. Hope you understand what I mean)

    Hi there,

I would recommend trying this option first:
    https://docs.wpshowposts.com/article/images-overview/#image-width-height

If this doesn’t help, please open a support topic in WPSP’s support forums:

    Free: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-show-posts/
    Pro: https://wpshowposts.com/support/area/pro-support/

    Thanks!
