I’ve just checked my website and content on some pages has disappeared and it just says “No sections added!”:
However, not on pages like this: https://www.johncabot.com/corporate-events/team-building/london/
When I check the revision history it looks like the content is there.
Are you able to help? Happy to provide login details.
Thanks,October 24, 2019 at 2:05 am #1043060Michael
I’ll try adding the content back in and see what happens. But content disappearing is worrying.October 24, 2019 at 5:22 am #1043196DavidStaffCustomer SupportOctober 25, 2019 at 11:50 pm #1044789Michael
Yes – I had to re-add content but it’s not the same and has happened again since. I’ve lost months of building and refining pages. The revisions setting doesn’t seem to work either.
What is odd, is when the content doesn’t appear to be there – when I untick sections it is all there in one post. I’ve kept this example for you: https://www.johncabot.com/event-management/london/ as this page wasn’t fully completed in the first place.
After reading the Generate Press Optimisation tips post, I’ve recently installed Autoptimise, WP Rocket and EWWW Image Optimiser. But all are on the most basic settings.
I’m concerned that this is going to keep happening.
Any help will be much appreciated.October 26, 2019 at 8:50 am #1045272DavidStaffCustomer SupportOctober 26, 2019 at 9:15 am #1045301Michael
The message is on the frontend. I noticed when browsing the website.
Then, going into the backend the sections had disappeared. When I unticked the sections box all the content appears in a single post.
Thanks for looking into this.October 26, 2019 at 9:21 am #1045305DavidStaffCustomer Support
So this link:
is the content still missing for you ? As it looks good to me – which would mean caching is causing an issue. This could be your ISP cache. By removing Sections would be a significant enough change to burst the cache. Let me knowOctober 26, 2019 at 11:05 am #1045384Michael
I can see the content as well. I’ve just published the original view rather than sections.October 26, 2019 at 4:08 pm #1045516DavidStaffCustomer SupportMay 10, 2020 at 10:52 pm #1278525Joseph
I have 4 sites where this just started happening. “No sections added!” I re-installed the site from the daily backups and still no content. When I turn sections off the content is there and appears on the page. The layout is a little off but shows none the less when sections are turned off.
Maybe a hack? not sure. I ran WordFence scan and virus scan provided by the host and found nothing malicious.
Here is one of the sites:
