Hello guys,
I am using the ZEAL GP template.
I configured a Ninja form but the input text is almost white-as the color of the very entry fields. When I type something and I click elsewhere on the page, the text changes to black which is OK. But what’s annoying is that when I type I cannot see what I type since it is white.
How to change this without changing the main content text color which is white-ish given the fact that the theme is black?Thank you!

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Try this CSS:
input[type="text"]:focus, input[type="email"]:focus, textarea:focus { color: #000; }Adding CSS: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-css/
Let me know 🙂

Hi Leo,
I added the code via the Simple CSS plugin but it is the same issue. I repeat – the text is visible once you type in something in the contact form (Ninja) and then you click somewhere else on the page – then the typed in text is visible, but only then.
Thank you!

I have the same issue (example: https://thisistrue.com/errata ) and the above CSS doesn’t change anything in the form.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
The text is visible in the field to me.
The style is also coming from the plugin itself:

Well, I think the point of the OP (not to mention me) is trying to make is that medium gray text over a light gray background is not very readable. My readers tend to be older and they complain that they can’t read what they’re typing in the form due to the low contrast. So I guess to be clearer, how can the text be made full #000000 black, rather than the #919191 gray? The form fields apparently ignore what’s set in the GP Premium color customizer.
Thanks!

StaffCustomer SupportYup the plugin itself is providing styles which is overwriting GP’s customizer options (it is supposed to as it’s a plugin).
Have you checked with their support to see if you can stop that from happening? If not then maybe they can help with with some CSS to change the colors?

I checked, and …they offer a paid styling module. I understand that’s beyond your purview to help with their stuff, so thanks for your feedback.

StaffCustomer SupportMight be worth checking with their support to see if there is a way to just inherit the theme color settings 🙂

That’s a clever idea. Thanks.
