Hi GP team,
My Niche Site Library Template is not importing correctly.
The menus have duplicates and the product page is messed up.
I’ve included a few screenshots for your reference.I’ve done a clean reinstall with no plugins sans the ones provided by my server but the import is still the same.
I’ve tried importing other demos and they work fine.Would you mind looking into this issue?
Thank you

Hi David,
Yes! There are duplicates of all elements under Elements.
Do i go ahead and remove all the duplicated elements?
Just a note, I didnt duplicate, edit any of the template after importing it.
It might be some issue with the importer when its installing the theme.Thank you

StaffCustomer SupportWell that is odd – ill do some tests to see if i can replicate the issue.
Yes – delete any duplicate Elements and that should resolve the issue.
Did it duplicate any of the products or other content on import ?

Hi David,
I’ve checked and it duplicated products and pages as well.
I’ll switch to another template for now and wait for your tests on this template.
Do let me know if you need the access to my backend to checkout the import.
Thank you!

StaffCustomer SupportI ran a couple of tests, local and on a live site and i couldn’t replicate the issue.
Is this a clean install ? If so can you try Reseting the site – using a plugin like this:https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-reset/

Hi David,
I’ve done the reset with WP-reset plugn but the issue still persists with the import for Niche template.
I’ve uploaded a vid of the whole process for you to refer.
I’ve also included the login details if you wish to checkout the backend.
Please note that the wordpress will close by Mon as its on a trial server.
Thank you

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperStrange, just tried this on my Cloudways server and everything went normally.
Any caching services happening on your server? Can you try turning off Varnish in your Cloudways options?

Hi Tom,
I’ve no caching services besides Varnish which I’ve turned off, done a wp-reset and the template is still having issues.
I’ve done a clean application install on cloudways with no optimization chosen and retinstalled the theme and it was still importing with issues.
I’ve included the link below with a login for you too.
Do let me know if you would like the details to the cloudways backend.
Thank you

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperWhat kind of server are you using at Cloudways? Digital Ocean? Something else?
The login info you provided doesn’t seem to have admin privileges.
To be honest, I’m not sure what to look for here, exactly. The import process simply imports a content.xml file that holds all the content. The content in that file is not duplicated (it’s exported using core WordPress functionality).
Never seen this happen before – almost looks like the content step is happening twice. However, the importer has a mechanism to skip content items if they already exist. So the issue here is that the import is happening twice and it’s bypassing the very feature that prevents duplicate content.
