Hi
I have two sites with GP theme, both have the same plug-ins but the second site won’t display the NextGEN gallery. I’ve tried older versions, check the gallery paths etc, disabled plugins. Nothing seems to work? Any ideas on why?
Nextgen gallery working, set up gallery two months ago after moving to Krystal Hosting – https://www.devonwindscreens.co.uk/gallery/
Nextgen gallery not working, moved site to Krystal on Friday – https://www.devonwindowtinting.co.uk/gallery/
Thanks
Rob

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
did you migrate that site from another domain? If so have you tried rebuilding the gallery?
We see quite a few user issues with NextGen – i find the Envira gallery is a lot less troublesome. Let us know.Documentation: http://docs.generatepress.com/

Hi David
I moved the website from tsohost but I was using a Flickr gallery there. I wanted it all on one site now as Flickr has placed restrictions on quantities and hangs a lot.
Moved site, deleted old plugins & matched the plugins to my windscreen site and all the LiteSpeed Cache settings I’ve matched. Downloaded a small Flickr album to start with and uploaded into NextGen. Completely baffled as to why the NextGen doesn’t display, it creates the gallery in Admin, on my website gallery page after inserting the gallery from the editor I can see the thumbnails, once the wordpress page updates nothing displays except the words NextGen Gallery / Edit / Delete.
I will look at Envira but I’ve spent two days looking at galleries and none of them seem to work as well as NextGen in terms of how I want to display the pics and captions.
Thanks
Rob

StaffCustomer SupportYou may want to run a debug and check the error log to see what the problem is:

Hi David
I tried the debug log this morning but it only flagged some amp errors.
Stumped and Envira is very limited on the lite version and the thumbnails only show up on hover. NextGEN on the other site works perfectly which i find odd.

Hi David
I unchecked the sections tick box and now the NextGen gallery is working fine.
It seems to be the Sections check box, yet it works on the devonwindscreens site in a section??

If the sections is checked it won’t work with or without sidebar.
Working fine with sections off and with or without sidebar.

Thanks Tom, thought you meant the side bars!!
Both sites are set to Mobile only for Off Canvas. I’ve switched it to off and published, purged caches but still doesn’t display with sections checked.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperStrange, there must be a difference between the two sites somewhere.
It doesn’t look like the gallery HTML is coming through into the page at all. Are you adding them using shortcodes inside your Sections?
I am seeing a javascript error in your Console, although I’m not sure if it’s related. Can you try turning off your Contact Form 7 captcha feature/plugin?

Hi Tom
I add the gallery via the icon on the editor bar within sections, no shortcodes.
I’ve turned off the Contact Form 7 completely and purged all via LiteSpeed cache. I added some coding to prevent the captcha displaying on every page but both sites are pretty identical including this. The only real difference other than content I recall is some javascript for the automotive viewer page on the devonwindowtinting site.
Gallery still not working within sections on – https://www.devonwindowtinting.co.uk/gallery/
Working without sections (I will leave this page active if it helps you compare what is happening within sections) – https://www.devonwindowtinting.co.uk/a-test-gallery/
Thanks
Rob

StaffCustomer SupportOut of interest, are you able to just add a shortcode for the gallery inside the section instead of using the button?
