[Resolved] New install failing, no styles.css

Hi! I’m working with a blank-slate fresh install with all latest versions for WP, GP, etc.

Trying to do the manual install for GP Premium I get this;

Installing theme from uploaded file: gp-premium-2.2.2.zip

Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme installation failed.

Am I just forgetting something mundane?

Hi Chris,

You should install the GeneratePress theme as the theme.

The file you are installing is GeneratePress Premium. It should be installed as a plugin.
