New element not working

Hi, I can't get a new element header to work.

I set the settings exactly as they were in the original homepage header that came with the theme but none of this is showing on my contact page I'm targeting. I did add a custom header text html in the textarea above.
Why?

Hi, sure. The text below the contact should be in the image header.
Are you talking about "If you have a business inquiry please use the form below...."?
Is that text added in the page hero content box?

Your screenshots don't match the element I'm seeing.
Do you have another header element created?
If so can you make sure the Contact page is listed in the exlucsion?
Ah yes got it to work thank you. It was the theme default global header where I had to add exclusion for contact page.
Do you think in the future it would be better that newly created elements have a priority over default theme ones to avoid this confusion even for other users?

That's a tricky one to do unfortunately.
It would create some confusion for some other users as well.
