New category created and archive page is empty

Greetings,
We've added a new subcategory to our site and the archive page for it is empty. I've applied the same Elements to the new category page but it's not pulling the content in the blog roll. Would love your help.
Also, is there there a way to disable the archive page from loading upon click of the navigation label for that category?

can you try regenerating the sites permalinks?
1. Go to Settings > Permalinks
2. Click > Save Changes.
done and cache cleared, no visible difference.
Based on the breadcrumbs here in the single post, seems the single post is only under the Gear category, can you make sure they are also assigned to the subcategory?
