    Good day,
In the navigation search, can we tweak to pick up post titles, authors, etc, in a search?
Am I forgetting to do something here because the search is not finding simple information. I mean do I have to activate anything other than the “enable navigation search” in the customization.

    Thank you for your time.

You shouldn’t – the search using the standard WordPress search function.

It should absolutely pick up post titles, contents, categories etc..

Try naming a post “Test” and publishing it – then do a search for “Test” and it should show up.

    Let me know 🙂

I thought so Tom. But here is the staging site, “http://staging.patronmagazine.com”
Just take the first post or any and it gives me the “Nothing Found” I tried other posts and even authors and they weren’t found as well. I’m perplexed,?

    Thanks Tom.

I used the navigation search and typed in “souls”.

    This was the result: http://staging.patronmagazine.com/category/features/?s=souls

Seems to be working for me? Or am I missing something?

    Let me know 🙂

Ah, so it’s a single word search option. You are correct. If I type in a single word it pulls up several finds. If I use a complete post title or name it won’t. So I’ll let the client know.

    Thanks Tom.

It does it by keywords, so if you enter the exact post title, that post should show up 🙂
