Hi Ying,
Sorry for muddying the previous topic, I thought since they were the same topic it would be more efficient, but I realize you were dealing with 2 solutions (and maybe 2 problems).

Per your request, new topic created and I flushed the cache:
Siteground.com Site Tools -> Speed -> Caching -> Dynamic Cache -> Flush Cache

Hi Lucie,
It’s still there.
Can you open a new topic and disable your cache plugin for us to inspect?

Hi Lucie,

No worries, separate topic is easier for us to manager, thanks for your understanding :)

So which site we are looking at? the main site or the staging4 site?

Let me know!

main site, thanks.

The header element is still active on your homepage, can you disable your cache plugin for now?

And if you can provide admin access, we can take a look at the backend.

You can use private info field for sensitive info like login details.

Thanks!

Thanks Ying,
I added the usr and pwd info below. And I disabled Siteground optimizer plugin.

The logo appears on front page and I can see the header element has been disabled on front end as well.

Let me know if there's anything else you need help with regarding this issue :)

Ying,
I just refreshed the page after disabling the caching plugin and it's now working. You're magic worked. While you're in there though, can I ask another question? I'm trying to change the header background color to black only on frontpage. I've looked everywhere, can't find the solution (unless the previous header Element was screwing things up).

Thanks again.

If you only want to change front page's header background, I think using CSS would be easier.

Try add the below CSS code to customizer > additional CSS, just switch the yellow to your color code.

.home #site-navigation, .home #mobile-header {
    background-color: yellow;
}

Thanks Ying. What location do I add the css, for best practices using GP? I don't have Simple CSS plugin installed and I don't have a child theme setup.

Sorry Ying, ignore previous message, I realize you already specified where to add the css.

Ying, I added the code, and the change takes effect within the customizer, but not on the live cover page... Nothing else was changed.

If you see differences between customizer and front end, it's usually a cache issue.

You need to clear cache or try disable cache plugin, and if you have server level cache enable, you need to flush that too.

And don't forget to clear your browser cache as well.

Right, I had left the cacheing plugin disabled, but forgot about the Siteground cache in site tools. Fixed, I'll change status to resolved. Thanks again.

No problem :)
