I am trying to add a WPML custom language switcher to GP secondary navigation, I got it worked after tinkering for a bit.

My problem now is the dropdown menu only works with Mouse Hover and not Click, my client prefers/insists on using the Click dropdown option :(

Staging site currently set to 'Click - Arrow'

Hi there,

I'm not seeing any dropdown menus in your two navigations. Have you removed them?

Let me know :)

Hey Tom,
Thanks for getting back at this hours. I have just removed the flag switcher to prevent confusion.
The 'Languages' submenu should be there now as the settings has changed to 'Hover' now instead of 'Click - Arrow', and that's the exact issue that I'm facing, submenu not appearing when Navigation Dropdown is set to either of the 'Click' options

Huh, that's strange. It's not adding the dropdown arrow either.

Can you turn the Click - Arrow option back on now?

Done, is back to Click - Arrow now. Do let me know if you need access to the WP admin.

I think the issue is that the arrow itself isn't being added to the menu item.

What if you turn on Click - Menu Item?

I have changed it to Click - Menu Item, same behavior.
This can be replicated on a sandbox site with only the required plugins installed

Is their menu item added automatically? What if you added the items manually instead?

Normally you have to add the menu from their configuration page, this option works fine with Click - Arrow setting

For my case is slightly different, as I have to add an extra 'Languages' label for the top menu. I came across with this solution as proposed by WPML support team - it works fine but it doesn't play nicely with GP's menu.

I'm thinking if I should try the shortcode approach and add the this language switcher as a submenu directly
